Welcome to the American Middle Class Party.

I was thinking why not start a political blog slash rant.
Raise your hand if you are in the middle class. Have you noticed that our government does not give a rats ass about us the middle class? Our situation reminds me of the song "Holiday in Cambodia" by the Dead Kennedys: "You'll work harder with a gun in your back for a bowl of rice a day..." Sound about right? I know it sounds like I am whining but it's true the Rich are getting richer, the Poor are getting poorer, and the once powerful middle class are going the way of the Dodo.
It is the middle class that carries the Upper and Lower class. We like the middle class of Luis XIV's France pay the taxes that build the roads, cook the food, tote the bales that make every day life livable for everyone else. What do we get for this? Spied upon, lied to, squeezed into the margins. Yes our government does a few things for us, such as No Child left behind, (nice job now no one can read), it does create vaccines such as AZT, (and then give it to private companies to make huge profits).
In a country that is as large as ours private industry destroyed public transportation, soon you will have to ask the question "Do I eat today, or drive 45 mins to work". The USA under Her Bush has given the country to the corporations. Hell they fight the stupid wars he started, (to save money!, a at least three times the cost!!!). 95% of the country is owned by 5% of the population, 90% by 1%!, we do the work, we get the sweepings!
In November we get to vote for a new President, chosen from a group of people who really don't care about us. One wants to be the first woman, one the first black, the first Mormon,,, None of these people are running to better our lives! They are running for pride and to secure their names and family's histories!
Am I being greedy? Is wanting a secure, (and I don't mean militarily), future too much to ask for? The Government spends more time playing grab ass with Baseball players then with trying to help us out. I know there are many people out there who think that those in the the middle class should maybe work harder to rise up from the middle. The truth be told our system needs ALL of us. Who would pick up our garbage if everyone was rich?
